My love of red and white is apparently not limited to gift wrap this Christmas; I've been slowly saving holiday images, many of which I realized fit my red and white theme.
I love the red and white stripe that runs through many of these pictures, and I am absolutely craving some Christmas sugar cookies and peppermint bark. Yum!
I have some more holiday things planned to share with you in the coming weeks, one feature in particular that I especially think you will enjoy. I hope to start sharing that with you later this week!
*As I was putting this post together, it probably should not have startled me to look up and realize that I had also decorated this lil' guy in red and white, yet it did! And I must say, he is quite cheerfully lending some holiday spirit to our hotel room.

For the Love of {Owls}- Part 2
While Part 1 of For the Love of {Owls} consisted of photos and a painting that were realistic representations of the nocturnal creatures, Part 2 features illustrations with portrayals of owls that are either animated, slightly lifelike, or some combination of the two.

There are more owls to come tomorrow along with an exciting announcement I can't wait to share!!
For the Love of {Owls}
I know that a lot of people are "over" owls, as happens with any trend, but, perhaps since I am such a night owl myself, I still find some owl-inspired pieces irresistible!
Each of these pieces of art captured my eye; I love the life-like quality of Cara Enteles' painting, and I adore each of the three photographs, by Sharon Montrose, Allie Arts 4 Children, and D.S. Brennan Photography, as well.

Stay tuned for Part 2!

For the Love of {Feathers}- Fashion
And another, if I had a million dollars...

It might not be very vegetarian-friendly, but somehow I can't help but love this jacket! The black feathers seem so glam and rock n' roll! -Sigh-

For the Love of {Feathers}- Home
When I realized that my feather bit wasn't stopping because I had just a few more feather items to share, I decided some "For the Love of" posts were in order.

For the love of {Plaid}- Part 5
For now, here's one more look at Hatch's work (previously mentioned here and here.)
Perhaps it's because I've found myself a little infatuated with plaid (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4,) but I love Hatch's branding and design for their client, MacLean Winery.
Craig MacLean, the founder of the winery, wanted to reflect his Scottish heritage in his brand, and Hatch incorporated elements of his family crest and tartan into their concept for MacLean Winery.

Their wine, with its festive red plaid design, looks like something I would love to break open for the holidays!

For the Love of {Plaid}- Part 4
Part 4 (and I promise last!)- Accessories

For the Love of {Plaid}- Part 3
Part 3- Shirts
I believe this shirt by Joie at Bloomingdales could absolutely take the place of the long-lamented jcrew blouse from last winter (see introduction in Part 1)

Some more fabulous plaid shirts here, here, here, here and here.
